What this paper is about

Edit What this paper is about Content
INTLC312-23B aims to provide students with an understanding of visual cultures through studies and discussions of visual culture development and influences in Latin America and Spain. Through a selection of cultural products (films, videos, music, telenovelas, graphic design, fashion, arts, sports, dance, food, pop culture, festivals, and many more), students will gain an understanding of how cultures progressively have evolved and mixed in the region. Moreover, this paper aims to shed light on how Latin American cultures have converged with or diverged from over time and how their visual cultures have spread around the globe.

How this paper will be taught

Edit How this paper will be taught Content
INTLC312-23B is a NET paper. Therefore, the content will be delivered via Moodle and Panopto with Zoom consultation sessions (these are not mandatory). The modules are organised weekly and released every Monday morning most of the time (apart from teaching recess and exam periods). Please be aware that, as a NET paper, you are not required to attend the weekly consultation sessions via Zoom, but you are required to engage with the content week after week. Since Latin America is a large region, there might be some countries that won't be discussed over the trimester. Therefore, the paper will vary weekly on the topics, trying as much as possible to cover the diversity of Latin America.
